Pharmacists and Technicians concerns

Recently, we spoke with a few pharmacists and technicians.  Everyone had at least one concern in common, "customers have little to no patience".   We would like to hear from the customers.  Why are customers impatient during their pharmacy visit?

  1. I think people these days are just impatient in all aspects of their lives. Almost everything these days is at our fingertips and can be done electronically with a swipe of your finger on your smartphone or many things have become 'easier' with technology and that's great...BUT...some things, like your medication, need special attention. The pharmacist isn't there to just drop x-amount of tablets in a bottle...they are there to carefully fill those bottles correctly and to monitor other meds someone is on to make sure there aren't any dangerous conflicts. They are there to answer your questions and address your concerns. And like your smartphone and tablet, they too are there 'at your fingertips'. Some things take time...medication is crucial in a person's health and people just need to learn that some things are worth waiting for. JMO.

  2. Honesty is what we are looking for. Thanks for sharing.
