Despite the calories in vegetables being mostly low, there are some that are better placed than others. The unrivaled vegetables for dieting and weight loss are those that are abundant in fibre and deficient in calories. As a universal rule nonetheless, the calories in vegetables are relatively low compared to other types of food. For that reason, making an effort to eat more of them in your diet will go a long way to helping you in weight loss and keep it off long term.

These are the ones that have more fibre and water and have minimal starch and a small number of calories. These comprise part of the group of less carbohydrate foods.
